Free font websites.....

I've used that site for a long time and have gotten lots of great free fonts there. Anybody have any other free font sites they use a lot?

ive been lookin for some cool font actually too, but i gotta mac so i need mac compatible fonts

Most fonts you find online are .otf (open type) or .ttf (true type), which are both cross platform compatible with mac or pc.

I know people are always needing new fonts for flyers so hopefully this link will help out.

And...
Two things that personally always turn me off to people's flyers are
1) Illegible fonts.....I'm trying to get information, not look at something for minutes like a painting and find what it means to me ya know?
2) TOO many fonts.....I think the general rule is somewhere around 3 fonts per flyer. I've seen flyers with over 20 fonts, most of the fonts being artistic and difficult to read on top of that.

It's really easy to get carried away since there are so many cool fonts around, but I just always prefer simpler is better when it comes to distributing information.

i like some metal show fliers!

i see some electronic show fliers and its like size 8 type with yellow letters on a red background with a green letter every 9 letters. im like is this flier supposed to make me seizure?!

i see a lot people around town straight biting fliers from other peeps, like off their myspace bulletins or websites or whatever. i see some peeps trying to be origional wit a flier and they just playin themselves out wit a played out idea.

yea i like legible writing and accurate info.
i will say that an attention grabber on a flier is the font, its important.

there are rules to using fonts. if you don't follow them, people do not read the information.
