How To: Post Your Events On Our Calendar
Are you a Kansas City area venue, promoter, artist, or fan? Add your event to our Events Calendar.
Posting events is EASY! Just follow these steps:
- Click “Submit Event” from our Events Calendar page.
- BEFORE you start typing in your event information, be sure you correctly type in the anti-spam code and confirm it.
- Enter in your Contact Information (Name and Email) so we can get in touch with you about your post if we need to. This is only for our eyes and required.
- Enter your Event Details.
If you want to post a band image, e-flyer, or other html rich content with your description, click the “html” or “Insert Image” button and paste the url of your hosted image from your Photobucket, Flickr, etc. If you are linking a very large image, resize the image to a max width of 600px by clicking on the “Appearance” tab and changing the width, or clicking and dragging the corners of the image to resize it. - If your event is recurring, (every week, once a month, etc.) then check the recurring box and choose the dates.
- MAKE SURE you select the Categories your event falls under. This is VERY important so that the targeted people looking for your event will find it easier.
- Make sure you correctly followed Step 6. If you neglect to give your event a home within its categories, it will automatically be flagged as an “orphan” event and will be deleted.
- Select the Venue. Since we already have most local venues in our database, just start typing the name in the Name Search box and choose your venue from the list. We will then automatically insert the venue, address, google maps, links to all major social networking sites, etc. into your post for you!
- You’re DONE!!!
